Investing in the Future of St.Luke’s | Capital Campaign

In February 2024, a devastating fire destroyed St. Luke’s church building and Pope Hall. While the loss was profound, the faith, resilience, and generosity of this parish have carried St. Luke’s forward with hope and purpose. The Capital Campaign, Honoring Our Past. Building Our Future., invites the parish to come together to rebuild a sacred space that reflects our history while faithfully serving current and future generations.
The campaign seeks to raise $3 million to $3.5 million toward the rebuilding of the church and parish facilities. These funds will support the construction of anew church building, a redesigned Pope Hall and significant exterior improvements that will strengthen the life and ministry of St. Luke’s for years to come. Architectural renderings and project drawings prepared by Hoffpauir Studio and Donahue Favret illustrate a thoughtful and reverent design that integrates seamlessly with the existing campus.
The new church building will provide seating for approximately 350 worshipers and include an expanded narthex with a welcome area, restroom, mother’s room and flexible gathering space. A chapel with a columbarium, votive candles and space for intimate services will be located in the east transept. The sanctuary will once again feature a raised altar, a prominent Christus Rex, new wooden pews and kneelers and sacred furnishings that reflect Episcopal tradition. Beloved stained glass, including the Holy Family window, will be restored and complemented by newly designed windows and quatrefoil elements that symbolize the four Gospels.
There designed Pope Hall will offer nearly 4,000 square feet of flexible space for fellowship, formation, and parish events. It will include a full kitchen, expanded storage, an acolyte vesting room, updated technology and seating for approximately 300 people. This space will once again support Sunday fellowship, classes, receptions, celebrations of life and community gatherings.
Exterior improvements will enhance both beauty and accessibility across the campus. New courtyards will provide places for quiet reflection and fellowship, while widened sidewalks and a covered walkway will improve flow between buildings. Anew brick and aluminum fence will unify the campus and add security, and the parking lot will be resurfaced and repainted to create a safe and welcoming environment.
Through this campaign, St. Luke’s seeks not only to rebuild what was lost, but to strengthen its mission as a community committed to caring for one another, growing spiritually and bringing others closer to God through Jesus Christ.
