Prayer Requests - St. Luke's Episcopal Church Baton Rouge

We pray for William Patrick McKey, son of William and Brooke McKey, and Tyler Claire Petty, daughter of Sean and Brooke Petty, as they await their baptisms.

We pray for the repose of the Soul of Dottie Kubricht, long-time parishioner of St. Luke's, mother of Kimberly Kubricht, Dawn Harkins and husband John, and Trey Kubricht and wife Amy; grandmother of Hagan Harkins, John Harkins, III, Samantha Harkins, Faith Kubricht, Liam and Emma Kubricht.

Prayer for the Annual Meeting: Almighty and everliving God, source of all wisdom and understanding, be present with those who take counsel in St. Luke's for the renewal and mission of your church. Teach us in all things to seek first your honor and glory. Guide us to perceive what is right, and grant us both the courage to pursue it and the grace to accomplish it; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We lift up the men and women of the National Guard and all who serve in the United States military. Bless them with courage, protect them from harm, grant them wisdom in every duty, and surround their families with peace and strength.

Dear Father, Send down your blessings on law enforcement officers, firemen, and first responders. Grant them courage, wisdom, strength, and compassion in all their work. When the alarm sounds, let them faithfully serve you in their neighborhood. Amen.

Almighty God, whose beloved Son Jesus Christ, went about doing good, and healing all manner of illness and disease: continue, we beseech you, his gracious work. Grant to physicians, nurses and all health care professionals wisdom and skill, sympathy and patience; keep them safe and preserve them from all contagion. Cheer, heal and sanctify the sick, and send down your blessing on all who care for them healer, Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
